Life Enrichment Leader, Willow Brook by Day ( the Adult Day Program at Willow Brook Christian Village)

Job responsibilities include planning, designing and implementing a variety of activities for individuals and small groups. Activities include, but would not be limited to, arts and crafts, discussion and exercise groups, personal care and grooming, guided outings, and scheduled entertainment events. Other activity related responsibilities include purchase and organization of supplies, maintenance of files and activity documentation, development of activity schedule/calendar, working with the nurse and social worker to ensure program development, staff compliance and participant satisfaction.
Additional responsibilities include assisting clients who need help with ambulation and in using the bathroom facilities, participating in staff meetings, following all policies and procedures, attending in-services, and performing other duties as assigned.
A well-qualified individual will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and a strong passion for and understanding of senior adults’ interests.
Preferred candidates should have a bachelor’s or associates’ degree in recreational therapy or related field, Professional Activity Certification, or two years of experience working as an Activity Director, Activity Coordinator, or related position. The Life Enrichment Leader reports to the Program Director. Highly desirable schedule working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No nights or weekends! This position is full-time and includes medical benefits, 403B retirement plan, holiday/vacation/sick pay, and additional attractive benefits.
